Advanced Class Preparation & Grief

Advanced chaplain classes are classes expanding the knowledge base of the basic course. There are a variety of classes taught that are classified in the Advanced Level of the chaplaincy program to assist the chaplain in their growth as a minister. These classes do NOT fulfill any requirements for state certification as a fire chaplain. This course is designed to equip chaplains with the tools to be able to assist with death notifications, plan a funeral for a non-LODD, plan a funeral for a LODD, how to interact with a grieving family, and how to prepare, craft, and deliver a funeral message.
