Course Topic: Funeral Preparation and Organization / Pastoral Care to the Grieving

Course Description:

This advanced course equips chaplains with the skills needed to provide compassionate, competent support to individuals and families during times of loss.

Participants will learn how to:

• Assist with delivering death notifications
• Plan and conduct funerals for both Line-of-Duty Deaths (LODD) and non-LODD situations
• Offer effective pastoral care to grieving families

This training strengthens a chaplain's ability to serve with confidence, sensitivity, and professionalism during some of the most difficult moments faced by the fire service community.
